Dr. Mindy Bixby
Dr. Mindy Bixby is a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders, brain injury medicine and headache. She has been practicing medicine since 2012 and takes an individual approach to each patient’s care that includes understanding their unique needs and goals. Dr. Bixby believes in educating, empowering and supporting patients and their families, and encouraging them to be involved in all aspects of healing.
As a movement disorder specialist, Dr. Bixby cares for patients with essential tremor, Parkinson’s disease, ataxia and rare movement disorders. She also treats a comprehensive range of headache syndromes such as migraine, cluster, tension and atypical headaches.
Dr. Bixby’s research focuses on building an understanding of the effect of the gut-brain axis (GBA) on various neurological disease states, The GBA links emotional and cognitive centers of the brain with peripheral intestinal functions and gut microbiota.
An advocate for the Parkinson's population, she is an active public speaker to help educate and empower all patients to live their best life.
In her free time, Dr. Bixby enjoys running daily, sailing, mountain biking, practicing yoga and Pilates, cooking and traveling, and is an avid learner.

DR. SALIMA BRILLMAN
Dr. Salima Brillman is a board-certified neurologist with a fellowship in movement disorders, which includes Parkinson’s Disease, Atypical Parkinsonism, Drug Induced Parkinsonism, Essential Tremor, Dystonia, Lewy Body Dementia and other Neurodegenerative disorders. She has a masters degree in Neuroscience from the University of Hartford, Connecticut
Upon completion of her fellowship in movement disorders, Dr. Brillman was a pioneer in the development of the only Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program in North Dakota.
Recognizing the need for comprehensive and continuous care for people with movement disorders, Dr. Brillman became one of the first concierge movement disorder neurologists in the Bay Area.
Dr. Brillman has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating all forms of movement disorders and is proficient in DBS, Duopa and Neurotoxin therapies.
Dr. Brillman is an expert in treating both the non-motor and motor aspects of Parkinson’s disease, particularly in the neuropsychiatric and autonomic realms.
A proponent of patient education, she is an avid speaker to patients and their caregivers. She is excited to have the opportunity to provide exceptional care with easy access to herself.
